It’s not every day that an opportunity comes your way to design a menu for a vibrant Tel Aviv wine bar and when such an opportunity arrived, I embraced it with both hands.

“SHE WINE BAR” is the bar of my daughter, Shir Bakshi, and her partner, chef Oren Rot and that alone is reason enough to fall in love with the concept. The bar is designed in a youthful, chic style with a bohemian French soul. The crowd is diverse and hip, and the building itself is one of the most beautiful preserved structures in Tel Aviv an iconic space that felt as though it was simply waiting for this creation to be born within it.

When my daughter Shir approached me to illustrate the menu, I immediately fell in love with the idea and fully committed to the process. The inspiration came from the historic building that houses the bar a structure that practically demanded to be illustrated, as it is both iconic and unforgettable.

Its mustard-yellow tones, galvanized iron balconies in warm brown, glowing glass windows, the meeting with the blue skyline, and the gentle greenery embracing the building all created a perfect foundation for the illustrated menu.

The choice of paper was equally intentional recycled paper that added an authentic, unique touch while preserving the colors of the original artwork.

And the result? Beyond all expectations.

The menu became an inseparable part of the atmosphere. Every young couple visiting the place found themselves photographing it, or including it in beautiful compositions. The bar’s Instagram page filled with images of beautiful people against the backdrop of the illustration, which became synonymous with the space.

And so a signature piece was born one that became a defining symbol of the venue. The menu is not only beautiful but also full of carefully crafted dishes by chef Oren Rot, alongside a curated selection of fine wines. Shir Bakshi leads the operations and social media.

The result is a place at the heart of Tel Aviv’s scene on Montefiore Street 22 a stylish, refined, and beautiful wine bar.
